About Bandit

This exceptional poodle stud is an ideal match for Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bernedoodles, Australian Shepherds, Aussiedoodles, King Charles Cavaliers, Cavapoos, and Cavadoodles. As an experienced breeder of tri-colored puppies, I specialize in producing top-quality Bernedoodles, Cavapoos, and Aussiedoodles. Many of Bandit’s offspring have striking blue eyes, and about half inherit his incredible Merle genes.

Bandit has a Pennhip score of .34 (excellent), OFA good hips, and has been cleared for patellas, eyes, elbows, and heart. We also have a state-of-the-art progesterone testing machine and offer testing for your female at our home for just $50. Alternatively, I can recommend other trusted locations for testing.

Bandit is clear for all breed relevant genes including NO CDDY/IVDD or CDPA. He is also clear for 248 other potential health-risk genes except one copy of CYB5R3 which is only a concern in the unlikely event your female has a copy.

Deposit

A $50 deposit is required, Venmo or Zelle, which will be applied to the total cost of the stud service. We do our best to schedule breedings based on progesterone testing. Because of the variability in this, if in the rare chance Bandit is not available because of a prior commitment, your deposit will be refunded.

Transcervical Insemination (TCI)

TCI is highly recommended when your female progesterone levels are very high and we can recommend excellent clinics in Utah.

Guarantee

To ensure a guaranteed litter (one or more puppies), a progesterone test from a clinic is necessary. (We provide progesterone tests for $50 for local females that plan to breed with Bandit.) If your female does not conceive, we agree to a free rebreed. This offer is valid for one free rebreed only and is non-transferable to another female. We have a new and progesterone testing machine where we can test your female at our home for $50 (or I can recommend other excellent places to get her tested).

The cost for poodle breeding is $3500.

Artificial Insemination (AI)

Two AI services are provided free of charge for local breeding in Springville Utah.

Cost $1000 up front, (additional $500 if litter is over 4)

We have set our pricing this way to avoid the frustration when the litter is smaller. We require the remaining $500 if the litter is over 4, within a week after birth of the puppies.

Deposit

Shipping for TCI/AI

One collection of semen is needed for TCI, while two collections are typically required for AI. Since shipping is $300 for each shipment, it typically makes most sense to do TCI.

Shipped Semen Guarantee

Because of the complexity of breeding with chilled semen, we HIGHLY recommend using an authorized reproductive clinic. We can ship the semen to you if you are highly confident in performing Artificial Insemination (AI) or Transcervical Insemination (TCI) with chilled semen. If your female does not conceive, a free rebreed will be allowed during her next heat cycle. This offer is valid for one free rebreed only and is non-transferable to another female.

Shipping Cost

$300 per collection shipment, which covers packaging, and overnight shipping fees. We do not refund shipping costs for any reason or if delays occur due to UPS, FedEx, or USPS, as we cannot control their shipping processes. While uncommon, delays can happen.

How do I determine the best timing for breeding our female?

Since females have a narrow window for ovulation, it's crucial to perform progesterone testing. Most dogs are ready for artificial insemination (AI) between days 10-14 of their cycle. We'll collaborate with you to monitor your dog's progesterone levels and pinpoint the optimal breeding time. For shipped semen, we highly recommend Transcervical Insemination (TCI).
