I'm new to breeding. How do I get started and choose the right poodle stud?
As experienced breeders, we've worked with numerous poodle studs over the years. We'd be delighted to discuss what to expect from breeding your female with Bandit, our tricolored dog. Feel free to reach out for guidance on starting your breeding journey and selecting the ideal stud.
How do I determine the best timing for breeding our female?
Since females have a narrow window for ovulation, it's crucial to perform progesterone testing. Most dogs are ready for artificial insemination (AI) between days 10-14 of their cycle. We'll collaborate with you to monitor your dog's progesterone levels and pinpoint the optimal breeding time. For shipped semen, we highly recommend Transcervical Insemination (TCI). Please refer to our Live Breeding and Shipped Semen instructions for more details.
